Location info
Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel was well designed, clean, and very comfortable, just like a brand new hotel. The rooms, although a little small, were very clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated the Keurig coffee makers and real cream and milk in the fridge. The service was excellent, with staff being very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The location was central to the downtown core, with convenient access to the Amtrak train station, shops, eateries, and the park by the Thompson River. The dining experience was a mix of lovely and average, with some dishes being exceptional and others falling short. Facilities were modern and well-maintained throughout the hotel.
The hotel has a great location at the heart of the city center, nicely designed and relaxing. The rooms, while new, clean, and comfortable, had a strong paint smell making it impossible to stay in due to medical issues. The service was exceptional, with pleasant and helpful staff, but the assistant manager was condescending and unwelcoming. The dining experience was good, with the option to choose when breakfast is delivered, although overwhelmed by one server. The hotel's positioning as a luxury boutique felt bare bones, and the noise from the hallway due to gaps around the door was disruptive.
My stay at the Delta as part of a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer had its ups and downs. The rooms were on the smaller side, reminiscent of a Microtel, but I really appreciated the Keurig coffee makers and the real cream and milk in the fridge. Unfortunately, the room had gaps that let in a lot of hallway noise, especially being right next to the elevators.
